Standard 4-Hour Event

Goal: 

The 4-hour event allows participants to gain insights into talents and skills of fellow participants, stretch comfort zones, and engage in true collaborative problem solving. Devices are less sophisticated, focusing more on team interaction and general problem solving than technical issues critical thinking.

Staffing:

Lead Facilitator, Safety/Medic, Facilitator Tech Operator, Actor/Logistics.

Minimum Space Required:

2 rooms or one divisible space of ~1,600–2,000 sq ft, plus a narrow corridor, or stairwell.

Optimal Schedule:

  • 07:30 – 09:00 – Load‑in, checks, arming of inert devices, setting of tripwires, sensor tests
  • 09:00 – 09:20 – Safety brief, role cards, comms protocol
  • 09:20 – 10:15 – Gate 1: Booby‑trapped corridor
  • 10:15 – 12:25 – Gate 2: Collar/vest device with x‑ray review

    or

  • 10:25 – 12:25 – Gate 2: Large device, timed multi‑triggers
  • 12:25 – 12:55 – AAR with quick insights capture

Tracking and Instrumentation

  • Pass/fail triggers logged at each station
  • Time marks for decision points
  • Scribed notes for comms clarity, role hand‑offs, and scenario escalation choices
  • If the formal learning package is added, we run the 5‑item pre/post pulse and add certificates for both cohorts

Extended 6-Hour Event

Goal:

The extended 6-hour event allows participants to dive deeper into scenarios, and even though the problems might appear similar at first glance, the devices are more sophisticated, and figuring out how to neutralize them will require more teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking.

Staffing:

Lead Facilitator, Safety/Medic, Facilitator Tech Operator, Actor/Logistics.

Minimum Space Required:

2 rooms or one divisible space of ~1,600–2,000 sq ft, plus one bay area, conference room, narrow corridor, or stairwell.

Optimal Schedule:

  • 07:30 – 09:00 – Load‑in, checks, arming of inert devices, setting of tripwires, sensor tests
  • 09:00 – 09:20 – Safety brief, role cards, comms protocol
  • 09:20 – 10:15 – Gate 1: Booby‑trapped corridor

2 rooms or one divisible space of ~1,600–2,000 sq ft, plus one corridor or stairwell.

Optimal Schedule:
